I’ve always been amazed that there are people that want their freedoms determined by those unable to cope with them.

The policy of reintegration is the problem. Instead of locking up the dangerously insane, they give them drugs and set them free.
While in college in the late 60s I worked full time nights as an attendant in a state mental hospital. Believe me, most of these people BELONGED THERE.
Dangerous Lunatics used to be put away for their own safety and that of the community. Liberals made the states free them. And we pay and pay. In Colorado, in Connecticut the looney in AZ who shot Gifford and now in SC.
We are a stupid species who do not learn from our mistakes. And we are being snookered by the extreme left into destroying society so that they can build THEIR ideal society from the ashes
Sadly, most countries that allow for institutionalization are more likely to lock up political enemies that wackos, and the US is afraid to lock away anyone who might have a lawyer's telephone number or a PC Get Out of Jail Free pass.
More sadly, family, friends, and acquaintances are more likely to ignore concerns than to worry about consequences.
They should, the demonRATS and RINOS are part of the family....
Well liberalism is a mental disorder, so naturally they identify with them.
