Do not try this alone as it may cause blindness.
Based upon the same logic of all those pot study “conclusions”, we can only conclude than unprotected sex causes stupidity too.
Now go tell all the childruns!
Ha. And I thought it was the pot. Wait, I guess this proves it was the pot.
i think they have ‘cause’ and ‘effect’ backwards...
LOL! I know how THIS study was done.
Mom: What did you do last night?
Teen: I don't remember.
Mom: Who were you with?
Teen: I dunno.
Mom: When did you get home?
Teen: Beats me...
Mom: Did you have sex?
Teen: Who knows.
I have to wonder if there has ever been an actual study of that.
In other words, stupid is as stupid does.
...and if was a study, did they have a control group?
Or the kids engaging in the risky behavior are stupider or more intoxicated/drugged than their peers.
There’s a sweet SF short story called “Gomez” by Cyril M. Kornbluth in which a failure of memory linked to sex is an important plot element.
“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky.”
The famous other shoe has fallen!
Trans fats may hurt memory, too

Now we know why big cities breed problems!
Mickey D’s is doomed!
Or maybe those teenagers with poor working memories have more unprotected sex?
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.
The levels of sensation seeking, the tendency for seeking excitement without thinking had been self-reported in this study
This is news? Is this not the definition of being a hormone driven teenager?
Its just in the 70’s, in my town, the sexual revolution never made it past the barricades on my block.
I think the poor working memory is more a function of impulsivity and attention span than it is of risky sexual behavior. If fact, the risky sexual behaviors are themself a side effect of impulsivity. the problem is impulsivity and attention span. the risky sexual behaiors are merely a symptom of this.

Some idiots will conclude that the sex leads to memory problems.
As usual, most of these “studies” are interpreted backwards. The cause is mistaken for the effect.
