The only worthwhile sort of amendments are structural. By that I mean those that reassert forgotten federalism. It is through the re-division of power between the states and the government they created, beginning with repeal of the 17th Amendment that we can possibly witness a resurgence of freedom.

You can read the first chapter of Mark Levin's Liberty Amendments at Amazon.

I summarize them here.

You'll notice that Levin would super-federalize Washington DC far beyond anything the Framers ever remotely considered.

I would also add that under our constitution, which acts on both the people and the states, it makes as much sense to remove the states from the law making process as it would to remove the people, . . . no sense at all.

My point is we don’t live by the rules and laws we have now, what good are new ones going to do?
