If transgender people can do their thing and receive special treatment even when their DNA is 100 percent the opposite of what they want to be, why can't I claim to be Mexican and get special benefits?

So they’ll decide that race, like sexual orientation but unlike sex, is by definition inborn and unchangeable. Anybody who disagrees will be classified as a hater, and his career and position in polite society must be destroyed.

Even with testing, you can't prove all of your ancestry. I had the Ancestry.com test, and it showed English/Irish/Scandanavian/Iberian peninsula/Italian, plus smidgeons of Asian (from the "-stan" countries) and African (Bantu tribe). Some coworkers were surprised that, with my name, I have no German ancestry. If I look at my family tree, my name did originate in Germany--but the German genes didn't stick around over the next 300 years.

I check “Other” and write in “Celt”. My ancestors on both sides hail from Ireland, most who descended from what is now known as a Celtic tribe (their names for themselves is long gone). Though... I am sure there is some Viking/Scandinavian in there, like most with similar ancestries.
