When a woman set out to find people who looked just like her, she wasnt sure how long it would take to find someone.
In April, Niamh Geaney met up with her real-life doppelganger after launching a website to help people connect to their twin strangers.
Karen Branigan, Geaneys first twin stranger, lived only a few miles away from her in Ireland.
However, Geaney says she has found another woman who can pass as her sister.
Luisa Guizzardi lives in Italy, so Geaney traveled across Europe to meet her in person.
However, many of the commenters dont think Geaney and Luisa look alike.
Perhaps a braying Donkey would be a closer match.
Well, if someone started following me yelling , “George, George,” I’d just think, “New York,” and start walking faster.
I was thinking that as well, if maybe this guy who I mistook for my brother came from the same family tree. Traits can be passed on for centuries, if you look at 100s of years of paintings of say royal families in Europe, they all the same traits whether it be unique looking eyes or noses, I think it was England that had centuries of some royal descendants who all had jutting lower jaws
The jutting lower jaws were from the Hapsburg dynasty of Austria, and Spain. Some of the people couldn’t even eat normally because of their jaws.
Look the same to me. s/
My brother, at one time of his life, bore a remarkable resemblance to Lech Walesa of Poland. It didn’t last, because of weight changes, and different aging on the two men.
Some of the people couldnt even eat normally..Yeah, I can’t either. Normally makes me fart.
I doubt that is caused by your jaw structure.
I was watching TNN many years ago, when a pedal steel player was shown onscreen. He looked eggs-ackly like me! I taped the show when it was repeated. I showed the tape to friends, and they all asked me “When did you play on TNN?” And yup, I’m a pedal steel player!
Maybe you are sleep-performing.
I have had two celebrity dopplegangers in my lifetime. When I was in my thirties, people who saw me thought I was David Duchovny, although I am far taller than he is. In my late forties, I started being mistaken for Red Sox Manager Terry Francona.
Given the millions and millions of faces out there, everyone is bound to have a twin somewhere.
I think these paintings back then were highly accurate. One example I noticed was the painting of Richard III. When they found his skeleton they did a reconstruction on his skull and it was practically identical to the paintings of him.
“Given the millions and millions of faces out there, everyone is bound to have a twin somewhere.”
Every time I think I’m getting ahead, Ewan McGregor comes along and steals my identity.
LOL!!!!!
I think I’m a clone now
Another one of me’s always hangin’ around
I think I’m a clone now
‘Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down
I’ve had the same experience. In a grocery store I saw someone who I swore was my older brother. Only when I got very close did I realize he wasn’t my brother. My wife has had a similar experience of seeing someone who was a dead ringer for her brother.
I think it was in fifth grade, a new kid joined the class. Wavy brown hair, glasses, yep, he looked exactly like me. I mean mirror image. It was pretty weird.
I think they moved away a couple years later.
NC,
I do have a sleepwalking problem, but I would have had to sleepfly from Akron to Nashville!
