Here’s a math problem I’ve been working on, just for fun. Take a shot at solving it, if you care to.
A lady (let’s call her Hillary) has been taking X number of bribes for Y number of years. She has been indicted for Z felonies.
Given that:
X > 0
Y > 0
Z = 0
Prove that Hillary is a Democrat.

Newton was awesome. He had to invent calculus in order to solve the equations for gravity (and other things)

if X, Y, and Z are all positive and jail time = 0 then probability of being democrat approaches 100%

Well, I disagree. In every one of the great disasters of history, mathematics has played a role. Don’t even get me started on the laws of physics. Newton has blood on his hands, I tellya.
I personally cannot do math, but I do appreciate those who can do math and enjoy it. I honestly wish I had *some* mathematical talent, but alas, my talents run in other directions.
The secret to math is proper dimensional analysis, i.e. having the units agree, and understanding concepts not memorizing.

That’s my problem. I am good at analyzing the written word, memorizing obscure facts, dates, and quotes, understanding and learning other languages, as well as many other things. Math is not interesting to me and the concepts bore me to death. My sister, on the other hand, is great with math—both basic and advanced. Just how the hand was dealt, I guess. :)
Say, Bill, do you see anything when you rub your eyes at night? Since I was a tot I see gold and black triangles in a huge .. i dunno... net? It has shape, kinda spherical.
