I’d like to amend that title to 19 Disgusting Things About The Duggars….and Counting.
Here’s why:
1) Their son Josh was a serial child abuser, yet they don’t seem to even realise this salient fact. ‘He was so young,’ they wailed, ‘he’d just turned 14’…. ‘he was so young’…etc, vomit-makingly etc. Here’s the only fact that matters: Josh Duggar sexually molested FOUR of his own young sisters, one as young as 5, and a baby-sitter.
2) They didn’t report him to anyone for 16 months after he first confessed. That’s not them being ‘failed parents’ as they would have us believe. That’s being an accessory to covering up a crime. When they finally did tell someone in authority, it was to this man. A state trooper who did nothing about it and is now languishing in prison on child pornography charges

4) The Duggars seem more upset that we now all know about Josh’s disgraceful activities than about the activities themselves. Their doe-eyed exclamations of self-pity were utterly disingenuous.
5) They claim none of the victims knew they were being abused, which is obviously palpable nonsense given that some were awake when it happened. The reality is their parents conned them into thinking the abuse wasn’t as bad as it was. Just as they have, for years, conned them into thinking their weird, twisted, religiously zealous, goody-two-shoes lifestyle is ‘normal’ too.

All what you said and more. I vaguely knew who they were but never watched the show. I did watch the interview - they did more than most parents would. The 14 year old boy touched his sister’s boob when she was asleep, then felt bad, confessed to parent’s. Don’t know what he did after but also confessed. the thing is every one is saying the parent’s didn’t do anything. They did alot AND if they had not made their son go to the police and confess, no one would know what happened. They did more than most parents would and even made the boy go to the police not knowing if they would let him come back home or even if all the kids would be taken away.
I just have one question, all you people that are agreeing with all these liberal writers who hated the duggers before and were no doubt looking for anything they could, did any of you even watch the interview?
Traditional for something like this is beating the kid until he gets the lesson. Historically this sort of thing was absolutely taken care of in the family. To this day a large portion if not the majority of parents probably would not go to the cops for touching among their own kids if they were able to put a stop to it themselves if we were to be honest. Some stupid kid touching their siblings....yes even their private parts is probably far more common than people would like to admit. Only in the past few decades has it become fashionable to actually report something like this and only far more recently has it become fashionable to turn it into a nationwide media frenzy.
What do you think is going to do more damage to the daughters? Josh and his fingers coming into contact with their privates years ago or HuffPo, Gawker, and TMZ gleefully expanding what might have been collectively seconds worth of bad touch into 24/7 coverage for the entire world to see and dragging the family in mud for months on end?

This list doesn’t eclipse the many hundreds of disgusting things we’ve seen of Piers Morgan.
Never watched the show but you still thought they were creepy. Nothing like making an informed decision.
Tried to hide it how? By sending their 14 year old son into counseling? By voluntarily notifying the police? Give me a break!

what evidence do you have that molesting children is par for the course in Democrat or non-Christian families? Here we have evidence that it does happen in at least one Christian family that holds themselves up as paragons of virtue and insists that gay and transgendered people are the ones molesting children.
I have siblings and friends who are liberal. I am not a liberal, but I’m not religious. I have raised children that it’s not ok to to touch anybody else in their private areas and to not let anyone touch them in their private areas, and to not hide it if it does happen. Why are you dragging people into this as if they have molested children with absolutely no proof, all the while defending people who do have molestation going on in their family?
I am speaking philosophically. Liberalism has eroded and destroyed our social and sexual mores. Liberalism has created the libertine atmosphere that produces our TV shows and allows sexual egress. Yes, conservatives and Christians do fall before the Tempters snares of sexual sin, but they recognize it as sin and ask for repentence. Liberalism deifies sexual liberty and expression and seeks to destroy the morals of our children and society. Sexual tension and discipline is what holds a coherent society together. A dissolute society always perishes.

And the Duggars did not hide it. The son came to them, ashemed of what he had done. They counciled him on it and notified the police voluntarily.
Police reports, huh? I’ll look at them but from experience, I don’t have much faith in police reports/homicide reports/arson reports/fire reports being accurate. My husband fought an 8 year battle with insurance companies and the L. A. County Sheriff’s Office after his mother died in a fire in her home in the Antelope Valley, CA in 1986. The incident reports relative to that fire and death were relevant to the insurance investigations and I can attest to the many errors found in those reports. I spent nearly as much time at our kitchen table pouring over the reports and outlining each and every one and going over them with a private investigator and later delivering a package 6” thick of each report I tore into and the inconsistencies to the Sheriff’s office and applicable departments. Nearly 30 years later, the original package takes up room in my closet.
Out of all the agencies involved, no two had the same “time of day” for the first report of the fire. The homicide detective (still remember her name) stated that she received the call BEFORE the time stated for the fire. We were told by those at the scene later that day that she showed up in the middle of the Mojave Desert in high heels to investigate a homicide. Empty paint thinner cans were strewn under my mother in law’s bedroom window. The fact was called to the attention of officials at the scene by neighbors who knew that they were always full yet arson investigators counted them as unimportant. My mother in law’s walker which she depended on was found on the opposite side of the house from her bedroom. She couldn’t have gone 2 feet without it yet her body was found on the bedsprings in her bedroom.
It didn’t take too many of those before we decided we were dealing with a bunch of incompetent fools. Have to say we never knew who or what to believe.
So I will read what you are saying is THE police report but from our experience I can’t say I’ll take it as gospel as some here seem to be doing. A word of caution for anyone unfortunate enough to be faced with something like this - question everything!
The police reports are the ‘testimony’ of the Duggars and the kiddos. The Duggars would have had to sign them once finished to ‘swear and affirm’ the truth, etc.
The police didn’t just make these up, the Duggars (minus Josh) went to the police statement and filled out reports.
They either lied then or they lied last night.
