Yeah, everything I’ve ever read about Hitler,...and I’ve been reading about him for over 40 years....emphasized that he didn’t drink. I don’t believe that he drank Cognac, never mind having a “stash” of the stuff. I don’t believe it at all.

Patrick Hitler actually enlisted in the US Navy.
There are photos of his being inducted or enlisting. PR by the Navy.
His children (I think there were three boys) lived without marrying or having children, so I understand.
The Hitler name was not of genetic lineage, I believe the correct name is Shickelgrueber. Adolph’s father was adopted and took the name of his adoptive father, I believe.

And the fact he didn’t pay any income tax on the sales of Mein Kampf. Typical Socialist.

I know what I’d do, invite every Jew within a hundred miles for one hell of a party.

"None of the food is left. After May 8th 1945 the Russian troops plundered everything, said Stelzer. The cognac must have been well hidden. There's no way the Russkies would have taken the food and left the booze behind.

I had to look up Richard Speck. I didn’t have to look up Adolph Hitler. And Hitler is a much less common surname than Speck.

Reading books from my tablet is easier than reading the dead trees version. I don’t have to turn on my reading light, it’s lighter than a book, etc.

And the booze is the first thing the Red Army would have grabbed. I doubt this story. It does seem an unlikely story; however:
"...in an underground chamber in the extensive gardens."
Perhaps in their haste to get to Berlin the Russians missed that hidden chamber?

I thought so, too, but the article calls him a “teetotal”. Dopes.

They didn’t miss anything. They stole lightbulbs, telephones, doors, and windows.

Well, if anything, the Russians are thorough.

Well, most of the loot was destroyed in careless transport or left to rot on railroad sidings, unless it belonged to some bigwig’s personal stash.
