let me clarify that California fault system between Baja and San Francisco Bay... is a slip not subduction ...
LA on the Pacific plate is not moving East to be subducted under the mountains under the North American plate....
its sliping north to be up by San Francisco
but it does run in to the ocean at both ends
And i belive the main California fault ..system ..runs north out of San Francisco Bay into the ocean and south down the middle of the Gulf of California between Baja and mainland Mexico it to.the ocean
it why you have two long bays San Francisco Bay and Gulf of California at both ends of the fault.. they are the points the fault go off in to the ocean

Pretty much like you say -
It is if you’re one of them.
I want an earthquake in California that sink the state and kill liberals. That would be great quake...
You are correct. A fault the runs from the Gulf of Calif to well north of SF is a bit on the long side, with lots of minor faults branching off to make things interesting..
Is that the one where the earthquake was followed by a nasty flood because the earthquake destroyed a huge dam?
I can't remember, in 1974, I was 5-years-old, but I think I saw it on reruns.
I don't want liberals killed, just rendered powerless.
I remember one thing about it pretty clearly due to the extra sound effects that were promoted as feeling the earthquake, an intense low bass rumbling. Pretty cool custom Blazer. Other than that, I think there were a lot of fires. A little on the cheesy side but that’s the norm for disaster movies.
My favorite disaster surviving series. This one tells you where to place yourself inside a house to protect yourself, how to get water out of your hot water heater and how to cross a road with live electrical wires.
I show this series to friends and family when they are staying over for long weekends, and I test them afterwards by having them mimicking the techniques. ( Not kidding!)
And, the host is a very hot former SEAL;)

A massive earthquake hits the largest fault line in the middle of the country and reduces entire cities to rubble. Navy SEAL Cade Courtley shows you how to survive the shake, escape if you get buried in debris, and how to save your home from a giant gas explosion.
Yeah, but slip-strike faults are not going to generate a tsunami.
Thx
Everyone knows the most dangerous is Bush's Fault.
(Especially while Obama's in office)
I thought you said a very hot former seal?
Doesn't do a thing for me.
Where's Demi Moore?
I’ve heard that you can avoid injury if you jump up and down.
Standing in a doorway just makes it easier to find your body.
