I only read this article once and therefore may have missed the part where the folks at Baptist Press are calling for the beheading of the producers of Family Guy. Family Guy has sacrilege in it too.

Seth McFarland hates Christians and thinks we’re all insane. His shows suck anyway.

Don’t watch TV. Is this really true?

Mmmmm, I don’t remember any of those scenes. I think PTC is confused.

FG has always been edgy but the nuisance value to funny ratio tipped wildly into the personally offensive side a long time ago.

I haven’t subjected myself to it in years (didn’t even know it was still on).

Family Guy can rope you in with cute little jokes and quips, only to assault your sense with gratuitous violence and cruelty. On that level, they are similar to many Adult Swim, cartoons. Just plain mean and vulgar.

Frankly I’m surprised any media is complaining. I thought Seth McFarland got some kind of pass from all the left.

He’s occasionally singing on Siriusly Sinatra. Maybe we could write and complain they shouldn’t support this creep. They do listen to their emails.

I tuned in once about a year ago and the father was killing the wife in the kitchen as if that was funny. Turned it off. Sheesh, no ‘talk of war on women’ there.

The whole show [ if you can even call it that ] has always revolved around perversion & often sexual violence so this is not new.

I’m usually inclined to like dark humor, but “Family Guy” long ago proved just to be little more than gratutious vileness. Its comedy has a bullying quality that always seems to particularly target the weak and less powerful. The show is almost akin to watching some old person getting shoved down a stairway.

Yeah, haha, that’s some that’s supposed to be automatically hilarious. That whole “detatched irony” context is apparently what it is going for, but it fails miserably. It lacks the necessary cleverness to even remotely attain that. All it conveys is that base meanness is innately funny. It’s a pretty rancid message for young viewers who haven’t even yet learned or developed any intellectual concept of contexts.

On any given Sunday evening, half a million children watch the series, Winter said.

I guess the same old question applies: Where are the parents?

Hey, PTC:

“Viewer discretion is advised.”

This is a TV show for adults, not for kids.

If El Rushbo is OK with guest appearances, then it’s OK with me.

Family Guy is just gross, and to borrow a liberal term- “mean spirited”. It is definitely NOT FOR KIDS. It shouldn't be on til 10 pm or after.

There is nothing funny about pedophilia. Just because they can go for the lowest form of so-called humor- doesn't mean they should.
Sick.

Everything on TV is not for children.
I know this comes as a shock, but the channels are not babysitters.
They are not responsible for what you allow your child to watch.
Parents need to parent and be responsible.

Whether you find it funny or not... this is irrelevant. The question is about censorship. Family Guy is not a children's cartoon. They are all about shock humor. Do they, or do they not, have the right to be broadcast?

Personally, I like shock humor. I will watch Family Guy during those rare times that my TV is on and there's no NFL to watch.

It is to bad that a man with Seth Mcfarlane’s talent has such a warped and depraved view of the world. It probably was agood thing his planned reboot of the Flintstones was discontinued
