While I'm glad for him that he was able to find work in his chosen profession I think claiming he is "one of the most successful actors in the industry" is overstating it a bit.

When you look at all the commercials, all the TV shows on hundreds of cable channels, the countless movies released each year, most of which go straight to rental, there's easily tens of thousands of people who can honestly call themselves "actors" having earned at least one paycheck in the business. Of all these people, maybe a hundred are what we would call household names. The Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning James Franco is one of these.
