Apple owns the patents on the magnetic power connector both here and in Europe, and in all Asian countries, Ethan, contrary to your claims. Asian rice cookers as well as other common appliances had magnetic connectors long before Apple products did. Maybe Apple bought the patent off some chinese guy.
