Have you ever accidentally downloaded malware? Under proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, the malware on your computer may provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation the justification it needs to load its own surveillance software onto your computer, without notifying you.
The FBI may be able to obtain warrants from any federal district court to search any computer in the United States. Once a warrant is issued, it can load its own software onto a target computer, copy files found on the computer, and wait to notify the target until after the search is complete.
The government is trying to update the Rules to provide for remote access warrants. The updates would allow the FBI to download its surveillance software onto a computer to search electronic storage media and seize or copy electronically stored information.

Government is an organism, and the top imperative of ANY organism is to survive and thrive.
We the People are the host, and the government organism spends 24/7 expanding, sucking the life blood out of us, to maintain its own primacy.
And, We the People (an organism in our own right!) fight back, of course. But we are out gunned at every juncture.
This sequence of events will probably get VERY UGLY in coming years!
“When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”
AND
“The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.”
Thomas Jefferson (17431826)
AND
“I Have Sworn Upon the Altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”
Letter from Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Benjamin Rush - Monticello, Sep. 23, 1800
Indeed; that’s what it’s looking like will happen.
The opening line of “The American Crisis,” by Thomas Paine:
“These are the times that try men’s souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
The pamphlet, read aloud to the Continental Army on December 23, 1776, three days before the Battle of Trenton, attempted to bolster morale and resistance among patriots, as well as shame neutrals and loyalists toward the cause:
“Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”
We the People MUST respond to the ever-encroaching government nanny-state! We MUST oppose tyranny at every step!
Since hubby taught computers till he retired and his daughter owns her own IT business, our computer is in double protect mode. We use her server. And I’d call her if we had a issue not the stinking government.

So much for the Fourth amendment.
The Bill of Rights were nice while they lasted.

Sheeple
PING!
And you thought they had any concern for our rights?
This is a very clear violation of the Fourth Amendment.
