A Georgia teacher was yanked from the classroom after telling students President Obama was an anti-Christian Muslim, school officials said.
Parents complained in February that teacher Nancy Perry tried to persuade the middle schoolers Obama is lying about his religious beliefs and it was wrong to support him.
“If your parents voted for Obama, they're evil and I don't see how your parents could vote for someone that's Muslim,” Perry allegedly said, parent Jimmie Scott told WMAZ.
The idea that Obama is a closeted Muslim, born in Kenya remains a popular conspiracy of critics on the far right wing, even though the claims have long been debunked.
When the disgusted parents met with Perry, she tried to defend her loony position with “propaganda from the Internet,” Scott told the station.
Perry’s husband, who is a school board member, also attended the meeting, Scott said.
Perry won’t teach the rest of the year and will then retire, Dublin City Schools Superintendent told reporters in a statement.

The son of a bitch has done everything except take out an ad in the newspaper stating “I am a muslim” I guarantee you that the muslims of the world know what he is.

This year, she has a conservative history teacher who had to identify himself as such at the beginning of the year and because he was asked to, he also teaches from his point of view. He's been called sexist, racist— you name it. But he is a very nice, funny guy so he is popular with many of the kids and parents. He's also opened up a lot of kids eyes. It's the first year my daughter has enjoyed any class related to history or politics. And when they debate, my daughter can take a conservative viewpoint. He doesn't penalize the more liberal thinkers, but the other teachers always told my daughter she was wrong. This year she feels free to raise her hand and be pro 2A in class. She got gasps when he asked why citizens had a right to own guns, she raised her hand and said “it's my 2nd amendment right”.At least half the class was shocked when the teacher agreed! Eleventh grade and they are brainwashed to think my daughter is crazy for her correct answer!
I can’t stand Obama, but the teacher was wrong. You don’t do that sort of thing in a school context.

Can they produce any cases in which teachers have been disciplined up to suspension and early retirement for spouting LIBERAL propaganda? Or does this only apply to anti-liberal tirades?

To give her the benefit of the doubt, you don’t know the context or the actual content or the manner of hers statement. To whom she was speaking. Maybe she was responding to some wise-ass kid. To be sure , you can’t expect much sympathy from a bunch of black kids for whom this very bad man is a hero and role model.

My kid is going to college for nursing and told me the liberal instructor speaks of his political views often. I don’t think it should be allowed. She’s not taking a political class, why the politics then? It makes the conservative students feel awkward or defensive at times. That’s uncalled for imo.

On another thread I mentioned how just this week, one teacher said “Palin said she can see Russia from her house - she’s so dumb” and another said “Jesus turned a little girl into an owl because she wouldn’t give him any bread.”
I’m guessing any complaints I had would go unanswered. (My daughter emailed both teachers though.)

The theory is his publicist lied to build up Obama’s cred as a genuine man of the world. The publicist never answered questions about it, AFAIK.

Does she go the the administrators about it, if not, she should.
