As a simple matter of business I ask - does the culture make Hollywood or does Hollywood make the culture? Risk averse business people don’t want to produce flops- so which comes first ? Risky Hollywood productions that influence culture or safe projects that reinforce what’s already there?

On the contrary - I see all kinds of immorality - that flops financially !

It’s all about immorality.

Even “family shows” etc., put out cr@p caricatures of moral people.

Going back as far as All in the Family - Archie Bunker was portrayed as a bigoted idiot.

Look at the executives on that show, the producers, directors.

It’s been non-stop ever since the modern entertainment industry started.

You have your choice with what the entertainment industry produces: you can have direct, explicit immorality, or you can have subtle immorality embedded into the entertainment, with a thin veneer faux morality (a deception).

It's a mutually interacting feedback system. Each facet drives the other.
