He talked about his love for the '86 Mets and all the players he liked. They were all black. Didn't that Mets team have some pretty good white players?
When I was growing up as a Milwaukee Braves fan, my hero was Hank Aaron. Yeah, a white kid with a black player as his idol. How about that. You can bet many white kids had black stars like Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Frank Robinson, Ernie Banks, etal as their sports heroes.
From his numerous slams at white people Rock, like many black comedians and social analysts, is quite clueless about his own racist attitudes. Rock is wrong...baseball doesn't need black "fans" like him. It just needs more fans.
...and there’s too many Hispanics...not proportionable. Now what about NASCAR? There should be a demographically proportional number of black drivers. Rock has found a cause.

I don’t give a flip about pro sports, but like everyone else, I do have an opinion: Whomever the OWNERS want to hire to build a team they believe has a chance at winning should be whom the OWNERS hire. If that makes the majority of NBA players black, so be it. If that makes the majority of NL players NOT black, so be it. If the majority of NASCAR drivers are male, pastie white guys, so be it. No one’s making a stink that there are no short red heads in the NBA. The OPPORTUNITY is equal, and race baiters will never own up to that fact.

Chris has it backwards. Blacks stopped watching, and now they’re not playing. It’s something the MLB has been trying to figure out for a while, losing a major demographic is hard on the receipts.

I don't think he's counting Dominicans (or Cubans or Venezuelans or Panamanians) as African-American.
