Marvel Comics outed its X-Men character "Iceman" as gay in its latest issue, a cultural step that is designed "to indoctrinate our young people to accept this destructive lifestyle," said Reverend Franklin Graham, who added that God Himself in the Bible says that "homosexuality is a sin" and we are to be on guard against all sin."
An April 22, 2015 Facebook post by Rev. Franklin Graham.
"Today the Marvel comic character Ice Man, from the 'X-Men' series, is coming out as gay," said Rev. Graham in a post on Facebook. "This is another attempt to indoctrinate our young people to accept this destructive lifestyle."
"Gods Word says homosexuality is a sin, and we are to be on guard against all sin," said the reverend. "God calls us to repent, turn from our sins, and put our trust in His Son Jesus Christ who died and rose again to pay the penalty for sin."
In the "All-New X-Men" comic book, No. 40, the character "Booby Drake" has the superpower ability to to turn into an "Iceman" and use ice in a variety of ways to battle the bad guys and do good deeds.
In the story, "Bobbly Drake" makes a comment about the X-Men's professor "unbelievable hotness," which prompts a female character, "Jean Grey," who can read minds, to challenge "Bobby Drake."
She asks him why he's complimenting a woman when she knows that he is a homosexual; she can read his thoughts.
"Iceman/Drake" asks, "What's happening?"
"Jean Grey" says, "Bobby ... You're Gay." He tells her to stop talking and then denies that he is gay. He tells her to "Shh! and she says, "It doesn't matter to me or to anyone else, it's just ..."
Another X-Men character, "Northstar," came out as gay and married his homosexual partner in a 2012 issue. At DC Comics, "Catwoman" is a bisexual, as is the character "Harley Quinn."
The Walt Disney Company owns Marvel Entertainment, which produces Marvel Comics. Some of Marvel's more well-known comics include Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, the Hulk, and Captain America.
Rev. Graham, an evangelical Christian, is the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the international Christian relief group Samaritan's Purse. He frequently preaches in the United States and around the world, and also speaks on issue such as radical Islam.
I am with Franklin
Doesn’t surprise me...
IIRC, Iceman and Firestar dated in the old TV series, “Spiderman and His Amazing Friends” (1981-1983). Remembering that Saturday cartoons 30 years ago, I think that is out of character for Iceman. I don’t have anything against gay, or otherwise, superheros, but it is a shame we can’t keep politics out of it from all sides. If there is a gay superhero, so be it but to take an established one like Iceman, I do sense there is a push for an agenda there.
Makes sense, as if you're saving the universe 24/7, the last thing you need is to pick up diapers on the way home.
The gayness? Why?
In what way would it have anything to do with being a superhero?
I was surprised by the whole Archie gay wedding issues a few years ago.
Archie is a high school student.
Even HE doesn't "marry" Veronica or Betty.
And it's pretty well established that every character comes from a stable, traditional family.
The ONLY reason I can guess why they push the gay thing is for the obese, basement dwelling fanboys who are into that sort of thing.
Maybe makes them feel less pathetic.
this country’s getting really kooky
I must have missed that episode. My mind is still on Young Justice for some weird reason.
Black Widow and The Hulk?! I’m not thinkin’ any missionary will be goin’ on....gotta be Hulk Style, or she will be toast.
Jar-Jar Binks wasn't enough?
Close up gamma radiation exposure can’t be good for the complexion.
Freegards
I think this is the scene: Sex with the Hulk
“Now they want to ruin Star Wars with gay characters.”
I’ve know several dykes that bore a strong resemblance to Jabba the Hutt.
I think at this point it’s time for anyone conservative to stop supporting any form of secular entertainment.
All gay all the time. Eventually it will be required that all TV character and comic characters are gay. That will be the end of the industry.
Comic book readers... Are they really interested in sexuality? Not really. The 2% of the population that is gay do they care about comic books? No. These coming outs are nothing more than bowing down to the baal of PC and trying to make good with gaystapo goons. Comic book producers know the gaystapo will destroy them if they don’t bow down and kiss the asses of the gaystapo SS.
God bless, Franklin Graham. Pray for other clergy to make a public stand for righteousness sake.
The stories in comics are pretty terrible nowadays, they throw in homosexual characters to try and compensate for the awful story, which is still bad BTW...
The one exception is if you are with The Incredibles. Break from the conventional mold of supers cannot have family.

Oh well, just one more company in a growing list to boycott
I had him pegged even back then.
