This Outrageous Story Shows Why Marijuana Must Be Legalized in All 50 States
PJ Media ^ | 04-19-2015 | Michael van der Galien

What do you think of this? Despicable and outrageous, or just the school and police doing their duty?:

"On March 24, cannabis oil activist Shona Banda‘s life was flipped upside-down after her son was taken from her by the State of Kansas. The ordeal started when counselors at her 11-year-old son’s school conducted a drug education class. Her son, who had previously lived in Colorado for a period of time, disagreed with some of the anti-pot points that were being made by school officials."

The school called the police. Coppers showed up at Shona’s home, searched everything, and ended up finding two ounces of cannabis oil which she uses to treat her Crohn’s disease. The result? She could lose her child — her ex has already been granted temporary custody of her son — and Shona faces the battle of her life.

If this horrendous story doesn’t convince you that marijuana should be legalized, I don’t know what will. It’s absolutely insane that Shona and many others like her are treated like psychopathic mass murderers, just because they use cannabis to treat an illness and because they believe others should be allowed to do the same.

LOL. Hey It’s Ken the left wing stalker.

Still trolling and spreading lies I see.

Ken you are so pathetic, no you really are. We have had this debate with you a couple of times yet and you still can’t understand the answers. Either you are a massive wind up or you are totally whacked out on drugs all the time.

Hugh Hewitt pretty much had me foaming at the mouth last week with his view on the Federal Government cracking down on states legalizing Cannabis. Why is it that it took an amendment to the constitution to ban alcohol, but the FedGov can just ban MJ on a whim?

Hewitt, you dirtbag Rino lawyer amnesty shill for your housing construction masters...explain to me why prohibition needed a constitutional amendment, but you support any big government RINO candidate that will crack down on states that have passed MJ legalizing laws using federal laws that are completely unconstitutional?

I don’t fully agree with Ken, but he asked someone a legitimate question that is worth arguing about whether someone agreed with Cruz position on pot. You on the other hand, have thrown out slogans and insults.

It could be that you are the troll

I would be for decriminalization as opposed to legalization.

Same here. Legalization just creates a new revenue stream for government to grow on. Decriminalization doesn't create a reliable revenue stream. In any case it should be up to the individual states.

Send your kid to public school...don’t be surprised when bad things happen. She has no one to blame but HERSELF. At the very least she could have trained her kid to lie - my kids never stepped foot in a public school, but still knew how to lie their way out of almost any situation (such as social workers threatening them).

SCOTUS reinterpreted the constitution in the interim.

People were not being locked up for years for smoking it before the pro druggies came out trying to get drugs legal.

If you were dealing with a large amount then you get banged up, however smoking the crap should only result in a fine as far as I’m concerned.

Police powers are State Powers under the Constitution. That is my position. It doesn't matter what the subject is. If congress wasn't given the power to control that item, then they don't have it. Article 1, Section 8 and the 10th Amendment control the feds to limit them to a restricted role. They are not a super-state.

Police powers should be exersized only by the States. Not the feds.

Ah, you're just mad because Ted Cruz threw federal marijuana prohibitionists under the bus =>

"Look, I actually think this is a great embodiment of what Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis called 'the laboratories of democracy.' If the citizens of Colorado decide they want to go down that road, that's their prerogative. I personally don't agree with it, but that's their right."

Agreed. My point was that Ted Cruz agrees that states should decide legalization, not fedgov.
