Haven’t you read any of the many articles recently that the 50% divorce rate is a myth.
Ok, it well might be a myth but I believe divorcing spouses is still much more common than divorcing kids. That is my point.
I guess you’ve never heard of an emancipated minor? That’s where the parent(s) go to court and effectively sever all ties with and responsibilities for the child(ren). The kids are now totally responsible for themselves - food, lodging, clothing, medical care, ect. They have been divorced from their parents.
Of course I know about it, but it is certainly a rare exception and it is not so much a divorce and once again, even if 50% divorce rate is a myth emancipation rate is not near rate of divorce anyway.
