Became old enough to vote when Carter was running - exhibited my lack of knowledge and willingness to listen to those who called out that we needed a real change and voted for him. Became "sophisticated" enough to be very embarrassed/ashamed by his second year.

Not under my control - retired from AF after 24 years and got certificate from Clinton - never posted it on wall and never will.

I went to a flea market with a friend (nice guy, or so I thought). My friend’s favorite seller there sold a large collection of used DVD movies. This guy had table after table filled with boxes of movies.

As my friend and I perused the collection together, I noticed another table labeled “Educational Videos.” NO ONE was at that table, except for one man with his little boy. As a homeschool mom, I immediately thought of math, science, history... So, I walked away from my friend to look at that table.

I started flipping through one box until I realized it was filled with porn. Egads. What’s that doing next to the educational videos? Confused, I tried the next box on the table - which also turned out to be porn. (Did I mention that I detest porn?) I figured the educational videos must be further down, so I walked the length of the table peering into each box... It was all porn.

I almost walked into the one other customer at that table. I looked up to see him and the seller just looking at this little, middle-aged woman (me) in total surprise.

I said to the seller: “Oh, I’m in the WRONG section. But, the sign says ‘Educational Videos.’”

The seller said, “They are educational. They’ll give you an education. It might not be what you want to learn, but you’ll learn something.”

My so-called friend witnessed the whole thing. He had to have known what was on that table, but he must’ve stayed back just to watch me embarrass myself. lol

Reminds me of that final scene in Dumb and Dumber when the Hawaiian Tropic Bikini Team pulls over and asks the boys if they need a lift.
They said no they were going in the other direction.

In 1992, there was a lot to vote AGAINST. People were looking for change; many Conservatives were disappointed with GHWB.

(I personally ‘voted against’ the way that the Gulf War had been prosecuted.)

Perot was correct about some things; but he couldn’t win, and didn’t run a campaign that could win.

This is something that Conservatives need to think seriously about, as we approach the next election.

Fortunately, I think there will be some things to vote FOR, in 2016, instead of just AGAINST; it will be a very different kind of election.
