Going ten rounds with CNBC’s John Harwood, outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said he didn’t care who the GOP nominee ended up being, because “they’re all losers,” and called his replacement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) a “lump of coal” — though he “didn’t mean to be mean-spirited.”
But Reid reserved most of his ire for Rush Limbaugh, whom he accused of starting a rumor that there was more to his eye injury than meets the eye. (#nailedit)
“It shows the credibility of Rush Limbaugh, he’s the guy who got all this started,” Reid said. “Why in the world would I come up with a story that I got hurt in my own bathroom with my wife standing there? How could anyone say anything like that?”

I can listen today, but I’m in nyc and Rush has changed to a station that carries the NY Mets baseball games, so when it’s a day game, no Rush. I did find I can listen to him online though. Just not in the car.

Not only that. Under most circumstances someone like MR could actually sue someone like HR for malicious slander.
However, because HR said it on the floor of the US Senate, he is immune. He can say anything he wants.

On the night it happened, a man whose first name was the name of Reid's brother, went to a meeting of an AA group that was in progress. He was a regular at those meetings. When he came in that night, he had blood on his clothes and said he had just had a fight with a family member and was afraid the Secret Service would come after him. The group laughed at what he said. thinking he was making a joke about the Secret Service. He said he was drunk when it happened and passed out but woke while he was struggling on the ground with the family member.
This guy was also wanted by police (before or after this incident) for resisting a cop (think that was it) and he was arrested and his picture put in the paper, saying he was the brother of Reid. The man reporting this incident, called another person who was at the AA meeting and asked him if this was the same man at AA. This person said it was the same man - so they both agreed this man was Reid's brother.
So, it's likely Reid's brother was the reason Reid had that serious wound to his eye area. It's difficult to think a fall from an exercise machine could deliver a punch hard enough to almost cost Reid his eye. He had to have surgery on that eye in order to save it.
Disclaimer: I reported what the article said about the cause of that “accident”. Maybe the article was wrong and an exercise machine WAS involved in almost losing his eye. I have an ocean front lot in Arizona for sale, too.

Limbaugh STARTED the “beaten up” rumors? What a laugh; Rush came dragging up the rear after beaucoup others joked about it and posited various theories.

It’s only fair to require Harry Reid to submit to the “Harry Reid Test of Innocence,” as he did with Mitt Romney and the phony charge of tax evasion. Rush has charged that Reid got beaten up by someone. Now leave Rush alone. Go instead to Reid and require him to prove his innocence. Democrats are always playing by rules they make up that they then object to when they’re subjected to the same rules.
Sure she was. Those dang stretch cords are real hard to pull. Of course, this version gives a clue as to who may have beaten him up.
