I’m only responding as to why those watches on EBay aren’t selling at a premium like Apples’s Iphones or Ipads would have been.

I wasn’t intending to comment on whether an Iwatch is a necessity at all, because nothing outside of air, food, clothing, and family are really necessities.

No, there are several of us who are not succumbing to the apple munchies on this thread. We are offering our theories as to why. All are valid, I think. . . but the most telling ones are Reignoferror's comment that BuyItNow's will not show once they're bought, mine that there is no advantage in time arbitrage for later time delivery watches, and the fact that most people who want one have already pre-ordered. These are NOT actual watches available right now, but purchasing a future delivery. . . pre-purchases of pre-orders. It is not the same as an actual sale of a product that can actually be in their hands tomorrow. That makes a huge difference on the impulse buying that generates those huge prices for Apple products on breakout day.
