MIAMI (CNN) - Inside a plane at Miami International Airport, baggage handlers are going on a shopping spree with passengers' bags.

What they don't know is that they are being recorded on a hidden camera. The Miami-Dade Police Department set up the camera as part of an ongoing police investigation into luggage thefts by the very airport workers who are supposed to get bags safely onto planes.

"It's a problem we all face," said police Lt. Pete Estis. "We will continue to be proactive until we can see that the claims of pilfering through luggage will actually decrease."

And these insider thefts just don't happen in Miami. A CNN analysis of passenger property loss claims filed with the TSA from 2010 to 2014 shows 30,621 claims of missing valuables, mostly packed in checked luggage. The rest occurred at security checkpoints. Total property loss claimed: $2.5 million.

John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York topped the list of airports with the most claims of thefts from luggage, followed by Los Angeles International, Orlando International and Miami

It’s “redistribution” in a social justice society.

They mentioned firings for the TSA, but no prison sentences, I hope they are prosecuting them, and not just sending them away.

Raise the bar much higher than it is now for conviction. But if convicted - execute them in 30 days after a mandatory review of the trial by three judges.

2015 America is not the moral America it was in the 1950s. Not by a long shot. And the hordes of immigrants from corrupt nations are accelerating that moral decline. Not that they are the source of it. The 60s hippies are now in power and doing everything possible to erode Judeo-Christian morals, and have been brainwashing children with PC and other radical nonsense for how many decades now? At least three decades.

America is ceasibg to be great because it is ceasing to be good. The UN commies cant destroy America fast enough.

Hey morons in Homeland Security! Did it ever occur to you geniuses that if these model citizens could take things out of these bags, they could certainly slip in a few pounds of C4 and a timer? While you cretins are busy feeling up grandma and five year old girls out front you have Animal House going on in baggage handling.
