They’re Asian Carp, not flying fish. They’re an invasive species.

Dear ABCNNBCBS:
I don't give a flying . . . fish.

Most invasive, fish, plants and other forms of life here in the N American continent seem to come from ASIA.
Why is there still an Asia?

No, totally different fish - the Asian carp have multiplied like crazy in the midwest.
Real "flying fish" are marine critters, meaning salt water only. I used to work on tuna boats and there were always a few on deck in the morning, very tasty fried with eggs and toast.

Thor Heyerdahl states in his book the crew lived on flying fish on their trek across the ocean.

Flying fish can actually fly. I have seen them do it a million times.

It’s probably not PC to mention that they’re illegal alien Asian fish.

They were usually 12-16 inches long with two side fins that spread out just like the wings of a bird, each being nearly as long as the fish’s body. Beautiful dark blue color with a light underside - surface feeders that escape predation by jumping and gliding on the wind, up to maybe 50 yards I’ve seen one travel.

I see that video and I see a solution to the Asian Carp problem...
1. big, water skimming net.
2. industrial wood chipper.
3. carp puree
