The liberal left is in love with Islam because the liberal left has a lot in common with Nazism. Just like Hitler loved Islam, so are they in love with Islam.

Progressivism and Islam are kindred spirits. By contrast, Christianity is meek and and promotes kindness, forgiveness, longsuffering, and prayer for enemies. I’ve not heard _one_ other mention of the previous version of a suicide vest type of warfare, like the piecefuls use. That would be the Kamikaze attacks of the Japanese. Why do that matter? Because the motive was the same, their religion. In the Japan of WWII, their emperor was a god, per the Shinto religion.
So we _have_ seen this kind of religion and it cannot be granted equal legal status.

To this day the Yasukuni shrine in Tokyo lists the names of Kamikaze dead, and proclaims them as gods.
