Billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer is playing a big role in a liberal conference this week, signifying that a wealthy group of donors from the left plans to make climate change a factor in the 2016 presidential election.
According to Politico, Steyer is scheduled to host three sessions dealing with climate change during the spring gathering of the Democracy Alliance in San Francisco. The conference began Sunday and will conclude Wednesday.
Politico reports the group will urge its members to donate money to several environmental groups, a list that includes LeadingGreen — an alliance between the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund and the League of Conservation Voters that was formed in 2014.

It may be down on the list, but it also might be a tipping point issue that pushed people over the line into voting or not voting for a candidate.
Just like the whole “war on women” was. Like Global Warming, the WoW didn’t register high on the list of issues Americans cared about. What it did do was create, for a time, a point on which to determine whether you liked a candidate or not (or, rather, thought the candidate was an a**hole or not)
I see GW as the same sort of thing. Americans may not care about the issue, but they’ll think anyone who “denies” it is an a**hole. And they won’t vote for an a**hole.
Good money after bad. In military parlance it is called “reinforcing defeat”, and not a good idea.
In carnival terms, these folks are “Rubes with too much loot.”

After all the clean air regulations imposed and enforced here in the USA then we should have the cleanest air per capita in the world.
The USA should be way down on the list of producers of supposed greenhouse gases.
