The liberal group Right Wing Watch cut a video of Ted Cruz saying something they thought was über controversial. But it wasn’t something he said in private. He said it in a forum with other Republicans moderated by Steve Deace in front of a crowd.

Sorry, that should have been 700 lawyers. That’s leadership. Lawyers are like herding cats.

We need to remember Ted and his family in our prayers!!!

I pray for his words to be solid, he is a great debater so I pray for his wise thoughts to be conveyed where the media with anguish from the truth. I pray he will have the continued strength to endure the long campaign trail ahead.

I’ve seen him in person and he is amazing and very personable. He has solutions to our economy and will attempt to bring us back to being that shining country on the hill !!

“I really like Cruz but where had he been a proven leader? Honest question. A senator is not a leader.”

He, of course, led the Senate in trying to stop Obamacare. But what people forget is what happened in the House, in Jan, 2014. That month the House Leadership agreed on “Immigration Reform Principles”, which they intended to pass and then reconcile with Marco Rubio’s HORRENDOUS Amnesty Bill that passed the Senate.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/31/us/politics/text-of-republicans-principles-on-immigration.html

Ted Cruz went over there, told the Republicans that their ‘principles’ were a TOTAL SELLOUT and would lead to Obama getting his cherished Amnesty passed. The Republicans ACCEPTED HIS LEADERSHIP and that was the end of any serious effort to pass Amnesty last year.

That fits my definition of LEADERSHIP and if we had more of that, this country would be MUCH BETTER.

not sure if youre being serious or not.

anyway. try this from Rep Mo Brooks (R-Ala)

http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/index.ssf/2015/03/ted_cruz_for_president_he_remi.html

"Ted Cruz has all the makings of a great president should he get elected, On a policy level, on a LEADERSHIP level, he reminds me of Ronald Reagan in a lot of different ways."

Brooks expounded in his comparison of Cruz to Reagan - a favorite hero of the Republican Party.

"Ronald Reagan was the entire package that you'd want in a president," Brooks said. "He was a lot like John F. Kennedy - those being probably the two foremost presidents from each party over the last 60 years. Ronald Reagan, very charismatic, very principled and had the oratorical skills necessary to help people understand why we should follow the direction that Reagan was leading. Ted Cruz is very similar to Ronald Reagan in all of those respects.

"If you remember, Ronald Reagan in 1980 was portrayed in the Republican primary and in the general election as a right-wing nut by the news media, by Democrats and by his Republican foes in the primary. But once he was elected and he took office, his dedication to America and the principles that made us who we are - the greatest nation in world history - came to the surface. And that's the kind of leadership ability that Ted Cruz has."

we both speak “Cruz” my friend.

the root language of “Cruz” was “Reagan”, an English dialect recognized by a confident optimism and an uncompromising belief in American exceptionalism and the fundamental principles and God-given freedoms that America was founded on.

can only be recognized and spoken by ‘real Americans’.

Before I went to the store a thought came to mind.

Do many here ( yes Jim Rob, we want your thoughts on this ) get the sense that God is not only leading Ted Cruz on a path, but God is giving Ted Cruz words of wisdom and words to use...

Ted Cruz is like King David standing up to the giant Goliath, were Goiath has been taunting the armies of God day and night, that is ? Until Ted Cruz has stood up to the media/gay/liberal Goliath...

I get that and agree, but he is missing executive leadership from what I’m seeing. I’d still course for him but its that piece that has me bouncing between him and Paul walker.

Never say anything in front of the GOP establishment you wouldn’t say in front of your worst media enemies. The GOP IS your worst enemy.

I’ll support Cruz.

Screw the GOP. I dream of a long dance upon their corpses followed by a soothing bath in their blood.

Ted Cruz was solicitor general of the state of Texas.

his office had 4000 employees that he administered.

is that enough “being an executive” for you ?

Watch how Cruz proceeds with his campaign. Not flip-flopping on important issues is a mark of substantial leadership.

Hubby and me were just talking about his TX. senatorial campaign. We voted for Dewhurst the first round. THEN, we paid attention to Cruz’s record and heard from a few folks who went to hear him on the campaign trail we trust and they said he is the real deal and we must do our homework! So, our vote in the run-off went to Cruz and it’s a vote we are happy ever after!!

And, he grew up with The Word and he also knows it as my husband quoted a verse to him when we met him....and Ted finished the next verse!!! Right there off the cuff!
