I disagree that the license plate is offensive. The encoded word is related to artwork necessary for drivers to read AMBULANCE in rear-view mirror.

Years ago, The Readers Digest had this one:
A guy was too clever by half when he decided to have a vanity plate that said “NONE”.
A week or so after he had the plate, he was pulled over for a slew of unpaid tickets. It seems that when the police find an abandoned car with no plates, they enter “NONE” in that spot on the form. He quickly got a different one.

I remember back in the 1970s Iowa ( may have been Idaho ) had to recall several normal tags that were accidentally issued after several complaints by the people who got them. The first 3 letters were “GAY.”

My wife wanted for her plate on her motorcycle MNAPAWZ the clerk wanted to know what it stood for. She got it, many comments from other drivers. Don’t mess with her she carry’s also, lol
