HOUSTON -
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles is revoking the personalized license plate issued to a Houston man, because it has now been deemed offensive.
I had it for more than three years without any problem, Safer Hassan said.
Hassan recently received an official letter from the state that said his Texas plate, 370H55V, would be canceled within 30 days.
People have no idea what that plate means. My closest friends dont even know, Hassan said.
It is when the license plate is turned upside down that a curse word becomes more evident.
The Texas DMV letter alludes to a similar plate that was recently reviewed and rejected.
They may have just searched similar type plates, Hassan theorized.
Hassan said he planned to appeal the states decision.
That’s great but a little wordy for a license plate, don’t you think?

Hassan?? Forget the plate- it describes him perfectly. HE’S offensive!! Muslim pig!
not in Texas
I disagree that the license plate is offensive. The encoded word is related to artwork necessary for drivers to read AMBULANCE in rear-view mirror.
We have one around here on the back of a minivan.

How about Kramer’s ASSMAN?
Pilots always go before a flight.
Found occasionally on cafe menus in San Francisco.
Years ago, The Readers Digest had this one:
A guy was too clever by half when he decided to have a vanity plate that said “NONE”.
A week or so after he had the plate, he was pulled over for a slew of unpaid tickets. It seems that when the police find an abandoned car with no plates, they enter “NONE” in that spot on the form. He quickly got a different one.
Since the tag is on a Lamborghini then it’s probably appropriate.
I remember back in the 1970s Iowa ( may have been Idaho ) had to recall several normal tags that were accidentally issued after several complaints by the people who got them. The first 3 letters were “GAY.”
I had a friend named Richard whose last name began with “U”. The DMV refused to give him a license plate, “DICK U”
Served with crackers or toast?
My wife wanted for her plate on her motorcycle MNAPAWZ the clerk wanted to know what it stood for. She got it, many comments from other drivers. Don’t mess with her she carry’s also, lol
I was just looking for that graphic!
