>>>It’s my theory, too. Young women have observed that young men will screw anything with a pulse, so why make an effort beyond that? Why not get a bunch of ugly tattoos, weigh 300 lbs., and wander around in your pajamas in public?<<<

You paint such a vivid and scary picture.

“Stressed? by what? Being the most comfy, spoiled generation in history?”

At least half of working people are barely making ends meet with no opportunity in sight. They are watching most of their older siblings and friends turn 30 with no home to call their own.

Except for people with connections and those with rare technical talents, their generation is essentially living a life of slavery.

We have no leadership, no national pride and everything is corrupt beyond recognition. Their only role models are thugs flashing fast money and some whores making sex tapes.

If I was 18 and understood what was going on, I’d be pretty damn upset

Life at my local Walmart. The guys have tattoos and weird piercings and are in their pajamas, too. However, they are less likely to be immensely overweight. Maybe that’s because playing video games uses your hands, making it harder to keep eating.

They don’t read, they don’t go outside, they just get high, drunk, or sleep with whatever moves.

It may sound sexist, but when women dropped their standards, it made the men drop theirs' as well. If women had higher standards, the men would follow. That's just the way it is, and this is the end result of the feminist movement.

My parents did not consider that a (useful) hobby. So I learned to cook. I found out that one of the things about cooking is that you have times when there is nothing to do but wait for the bread to rise or the beans to bake. Since you have to “keep an eye on it” this provides you with lovely opportunities to read. :)

My parents didn’t, either. I had singing, debate, and housecleaning.

Now that we have audiobooks, I can cook, clean, and read at the same time. I’ll be done “War and Peace” in another seven hours or so.

I think that’s late stage behaviors (permissiveness).

I believe early deficits in parenting (neglecting basic parental roles) created, sadly, children who are underdeveloped emotionally. For too many, they will be permanently children as they age - self centered, impatient, bored.
The neglect of their children comes back to haunt parents starting around teen aged years and getting more obvious as the children age into narcissistic, angry people. I believe our country is facing an ominous rise in emotional/mental disturbance in the younger generation among those who had “modern” self centered parents who tried to make sure having children didn’t impede ANY of their own lifes wants, wishes, “needs.”
Read a report recently saying college counseling services are overwhelmed ( 3 times more students in need) by students requiring “serious” mental health services for depression and other illneses. I want schools to have counselors for troubled students - it really can save them from suicide etc. I don’t believe all students with emotional problems had “bad” parents - there are many mental illnesses and syndromes that are of unknown origin or have organic causes etc. But you just can’t staff enough services to make up for the way our society has added to common mental health issues by making parenting more of a side hobby. The tsunami of emotional problems resulting from “best buddy” or “never home” parenting is coming and it’s going to continue to grow.

““What will it take to get the Department of Education to take our children’s feelings seriously?” asked Marc Brackett, Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, of federal health and education leaders in Washington DC during a recent conference on reducing violence in American schools.”

Teens are stressed and bored. The dumbed down, politically correct liberal curriculum bores them to death. The violence and senseless rules and regulations in public schools stresses them out.

So we need new multi-billion dollar government programs to deal with children's feelings. More layers of useless bureaucracy will solve the problem.

Well, I can see why they are stressed.

So many dang emojis to choose from.
Get that wrong, and you could be shunned for life.

I fully believe that. It’s not sexist, it’s the truth. Why treat a woman nicely and with respect if you can sleep with her without having to do so?

Seems like they’re being properly prepared for adulthood, which is actually pretty boring stuff except for the parts that suck.

Talking about feelings is like talking about self-esteem, exactly backwards. Accomplish something, do something worthwhile, and the feelings and self-esteem will come. Only liberals put the cart before the horse.

Huh???? “MADE” the men drop their standards??? You’ve got it backwards dude. A MAN holds himself to high moral standards and hopefully the women folk will follow. And THAT’s just the way it is.

Because you're a decent person who treats everyone politely?

I have a 40 year old nephew whose only stress he experienced while attending a private school on Detroit's east side was self imposed. He wasn't brilliant, he wasn't a genius, his only drive was to be the best scholar in his class........According to his mom, he would do his homework until 2:00 in the morning then go to bed.

His classes in his junior and senior year of high school were all advanced, from Chemistry, Zoology, Latin and Spanish. He was the Valedictorian.......

Beside his academics, he also played on the school's soccer, lacrosse and hockey team. In his senior year, his school won the state Class B Hockey championship and he was named all state Defenseman............

After over 20 years of medical training, he's now a Thoracic Surgeon here in the Detroit area........

As a side note, after his graduation from Williams College in Boston where he played on their hockey team, he went to Europe to play pro hockey over there because his application to the University of Michigan Medical School was rejected that year and they wouldn't take him until the following year.........

While playing in Europe, he was approached by an NHL team to come back and play for them. He declined because his goal was to be a doctor........and he returned the following year to the University of Michigan's medical school

I believe early deficits in parenting (neglecting basic parental roles) created, sadly, children who are underdeveloped emotionally. For too many, they will be permanently children as they age

An example is kids today dictate what they eat not the parents

I am amazed whenever I eat at a friends or family member's house who has kids, the kid will never eat what the parent cooked for dinner, instead the parent will usually "cook" their little precious a separate meal just for them.

And by cook, I mean go into the freezer and microwave a frozen dinner of Chicken Nuggets and Mac&Cheese or some other processed food crap.

And I am not talking about picky 3 year old toddlers, we're talking 10-12 year old tweens who probably never sat down at the dinner table.

This caused a lot tension last Christmas at my home, my new wife cooked Christmas dinner for the family for the 1st time and went out of her way to make nice kids meals, but one after one of my family members with kids showed up with their own frozen box of Chicken Nuggets and Mac&Cheese in hand to give their kids.

When I was a kid (yeah I know, I sound old), once you got a certain age you sat the table and you couldn't leave until you finished your plate of whatever your mom cooked. Not anymore, today the kids are the boss.

No wonder kids today are spoiled and screwed up, their brains are probably damaged from all the processed food they eat.

“Why treat a woman nicely and with respect if you can sleep with her without having to do so?”

Ah, this is a conservative forum, shouldn’t have to explain this. We are not barbarians or libtards that engage in that sort of crap. God holds us to higher standards than that.

Or more to the point, why treat a women nice when it gets you put in the friend column, when you can treat her bad and get sex?
