Seems like I remember she came from a prominent family.
Her dad was Lyndon LaRouche's vice-presidential running mate in the 70's. If you consider that prominence.

You truly believe a teacher, 18 years older, who fell in love with one of his students in the 1920’s was normal?
It was unheard of.

Actually Mary Kay’s father wasn’t a liberal. He was a member of the John Birch Society and was a congressman from California. He also ran for president as a candidate for the American Party.

Now that was a circus. Even the marriage didn’t last that long. I believe he was claiming that Liza threw something at him. LOL

Actually, he was pretty extreme. :)

She’s fifty three and still wearing a micro mini skirt? This woman is terrified of aging.

The old man (Schmitz) ran on the American Independent Party ticket in 1972 after George Wallace was shot. Schmitz was a solid conservative and was the first candidate I was eligible to vote for—preferable to Nixon and certainly to McGovern.

Mary is working as a legal assistant but hopes she can return to teaching. Her teaching license was revoked during the scandal, but she has now started tutoring and giving piano lessons.Who in their right mind would let their kid be tutored or take piano lessons from someone like this?

Go back and read your history. Confederate and Union veterans were marrying 14 & 16 year old girls in their 60’s,70’s and even 80’s.
It not unheard of for men to be marrying girls from 14 years old on up in a multitude of places all through history.
Lord you see men today in their 60’s or older marrying young girls 18 or older.
You must not be much of a student of history or an observer of society in general.

I had a business acquaintance who lived in an area of Kentucky where 18 year old women regularly married middle-aged guys. He was 45 and divorced at the time, and wanted no part of that (”I ended up re-marrying a woman who was 35, and I could barely keep up with her!”)

He wasn’t a solid conservative. He was out on the fringe.

Well, I thought he was at the time.
