Business Insider ^ | April 7, 2015 | Melissa Stanger

It's National Beer Day, the perfect excuse to break out a frosty mug of your favorite brew. Because everyone's tastes and preferences for beers differ so significantly, it can be hard to objectively decide which ones are the cream of the crop.

That's why we enlisted the help of the experts at RateBeer.com to come out with a list of the best beer from every state.

Take a look at the map below to see if your favorite local beer made the list, or read the full feature for more information on the best brews.

And I heard their Two Women beer isn’t that bad either :)

My husband likes the IPA and Pale Ales. Too hoppy for me.

I like a double bock but don’t know what a triple is.

Well they got AZ wrong. Kilt Lifter is the best beer here.

Mighty tasty! I cannot abide Leinenkugel’s any longer, though. I’m so tired of their fruity beers. Just give me a case of the old original in bottles.

It’s what I grew up on, LOL!

I agree it’s meaningless. The list is just all craft beers with clever names. No consistency from batch to batch. Find a great beer today and rave about it to your friend. Then buy the same brand three months from now and it will taste like crap and your friends will think you’re nuts.

Their IPA is good too.

Well, there’s only 50 here, where are the other 7?

My Son worked for a company that tracked info for online gamers, not sure now but it may have been GameSpy. Anyway he was learning to be a tech writer and considered it a great job because they had beer on tap, snacks and went on company movie outings.

It was another reason I gave up drinking the day BO was sworn into office.

There were a whole lot more that started drinking, and swearing, the day Lord Foul was sworn into office.

Yuengling brand

I saw something that Yuengling's MNC owners shifted production to NJ.

You might want to check to see that it is still potable.

My favorite Ohio beer is brewed by a friend. No big batches. He won the National contest several years ago. His beers are really amazing! But they’re not for sale.

***Water makes a huge difference.***

How true! forty years ago Ihad the worst COORS I have ever tried to drink! Could not finish the bottle! I had to drink TWO OLYMPIAS made with Tumwater to get the taste out of my mouth.

I miss OLYMPIA made in Washington State.

Poor Texas is stuck with mostly horrible beer. I've got Shiner Bock in the fridge now, mainly for marinating chicken and steaks. I'll have to crack open a Shiner later and marinade the cook.

Shiner was a nice surprise that I found after I moved here to New Mexico. Good stuff.

This list is entirely subjective by taste. The compiler clearly favors stouts. As such it is meaningless.

Yes, but it gives folks a rest from arguing about the list of who is the best rock guitar player ever.

I find that Spotted Cow is always best consumed when pulled from ice, on the shore of a lake, during the summer, while watching sailboats on a downwind tack.

On the other hand, in the depth of winter, feet up in front of the fireplace, I’ll vote for Firestone Walker’s Parabola, an aged Russian Imperial Stout, so much the better if aged for two years or more.
