It's National Beer Day, the perfect excuse to break out a frosty mug of your favorite brew. Because everyone's tastes and preferences for beers differ so significantly, it can be hard to objectively decide which ones are the cream of the crop.

That's why we enlisted the help of the experts at RateBeer.com to come out with a list of the best beer from every state.

I have no problem with them picking 'Wisconsin Belgium Red' from New Glarus Brewing Company. Their 'Spotted Cow' is probably my favorite beer of all time.

If someone can find a way to C & P the list, please do!

This list is entirely subjective by taste. The compiler clearly favors stouts. As such it is meaningless.

Poor Texas is stuck with mostly horrible beer. I've got Shiner Bock in the fridge now, mainly for marinating chicken and steaks. I'll have to crack open a Shiner later and marinade the cook.

My FAVORITE beer from AL (I’m originally from TX and never heard of their #1) . . . is the Straight to Ale Lakia Russian Imperial Stout. Yum. I like their Lily Flag Milk Stout too. Most of their brews are named with something locally linked to the space program, like Monkeynaut and now their is a Gorillanaut and Wernher Von Brown Ale.

And to think, my husband wanted to be one of the partners several years back and I thought they were all crazy and said NO. ;)

Water makes a huge difference. Rolling Rock in the green bottles was once the pride of Pennsylvania brewed from the spring waters of our Laurel Highlands. The brand was bought by a big corporation in New Jersey who now makes it there from the local recycled urine.

It was another reason I gave up drinking the day BO was sworn into office.

We were in Texas a couple of weeks ago and I picked up a 12 pack to bring home of the Shiner Birthday Beer. A Chocolate Porter. Not bad.

And their Saint Arnold’s sometimes has a few good ones although somewhat limited availability.

One thing about living in the Pacific Northwest, we have lots of breweries. Some are small, and right in the neighborhood!

There’s a new whiskey distillery right across the street from my office, too.

Now all the grocery stores and even some gas stations are selling beer on tap (in growlers).

All we need is for someone to bring Yuengling brand beers out here, and life will be really good.

Strange; I switched from beer to bourbon when BO was sworn in to office.

I really don't like stouts. Not as much as I don't like 'near water' so-called beers like the ever popular Lite and all, but I really prefer a good IPA or triple from Belgium.

Where I live, you almost have to order in real beer. They have no taste here.

When in Texas, I like to pick up the Shiner’s “Family Renunion” mix of several different beers. :)
