Deion Sanders reminds Deion Sanders Jr. that he's rich as hell and should stop complaining

So when Deion Jr. tweeted this:

Gotta get the hood doughnuts almost every morning. If my doughnuts don't come in a plain white box, I don't want them!

— Deion Sanders Jr (@DeionSandersJr) April 2, 2015

Deion clapped back:

@DeionSandersJr you're a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund stop the hood stuff! Lololol. Son. #Truth

I had no idea who these people were; I guess I am becoming more and more detached from society. As an aside, it sounds like Jr. could use four years in the service. Then again, many, many Jr.’s could benefit from four years in the service. Won’t be happening any time soon.

What, for Pete's sake, is a "Huxtable?"

My Oxford Unabridged Dictionary has no entry for it.

Regards,

Proof positive of the difficult, if not impossible task, of re-claiming America.

There are NO ... ZIP ... NADA ... reference points from which to draw a conclusion or determine a topography.

No American threads in the fabric ...

No America

Kind'a like people loving Fords because my daddy always drove a Ford, or claiming to be a Methodist because I was born into a family that went to a Methodist church, or loving the Cubs only because you're from Chicago, or ...

You get the picture.

What do you expect from dictionary based on language white western civilization has used for a thousand years?

Look up the word in the “urban dictionary “ there will find an entry...

Neon Deon built a $12M home north of Dallas, sued three different builders in the process. Then got in a big divorce fight with his wife. Had a legal issue with a charter scool that he started. Finally put it up for sale.

He and his family was a constant soap opera.

Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube are used by terrorists to spread propaganda and recruit.

They should be shut down and their CEO’s imprisoned and fined.

And the millions of idiots that were busy tweeting and face booking and you tubing would be free to read a book and learn something.

True....but your post reminded me....he made a mistake changing his nick name to “Prime Time” - when “Neon Deon” is one of the best nick names in sports history!

In modern America popular TV shows are our mythology. People use references from them the way they used to use Biblical or classical mythological references. Which means those who don’t watch, or at least have a passing knowledge of those shows won’t get a lot of modern culture.

As I recall he played football and baseball for a while, and was pretty good at both. Quite an athlete.

Yep. A trivia question. Who is the only person to hit a MLB home run and score a NFL touchdown in the same week? Of course, Deon Sanders.

In Plato's "The Republic" the idea of "Philosopher Kings" was born...

In modern America popular TV shows are our mythology.

In many ways these mythologies are our cultural "Philosopher Kings"

Each generational age has their own: Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Andrew Dice Clay and today various rappers.

I can't leave out our current "Philosopher Kings"

Homer Simpson...

Doh...
