A woman who spent her life caring for stray dogs received an unexpected -- and surprising -- tribute from the animals when she died.
At the funeral for Margarita Suárez in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico, there was a pack of stray dogs who came inside the funeral home to stand guard.
Suárez's daughter Patricia Urrutia told ABC News that they were shocked, but delighted by the appearance of the canine celebrants.

The funeral was hundreds of miles away from the dogs she had helped all those years.
I have to wonder how the dogs at the funeral home knew to come there.
Didn’t see story at link.

I’m not getting it on my noble.
Strange things happen. My father in-law was a outfitter out of Evanston Wyoming, he passed away while up in the mountains on a elk hunt. When we arrived in Evanston they were still trying to get him off the mountain. When we got to his house there were 5 moose in his front yard. We had to go around to the side door because one bull was standing right in front of the main door. They stayed in his yard for almost 30 hours and didn’t leave until he was taken to the funeral home. Later I found out that in all his years as an outfitter he would never hunt moose, said he felt sorry for them because they were so easy to hunt. It was a heck of a honor guard to witness.
I am a Moose member in Wyoming MI. Normally that many Moose in my yard means I have a poker game on.
great story ..your FIL sounded like a fun person
Cats think God gave them dominion over man. : )
Reminds me of the military funeral in which the dog the person who died took care of was by the casket.
This is true
What a great story! Thank you.
LOL! You’re confusing your mooses!
Funeral Goes To The Dogs!
That’s how loyal and loving they are and they have earned the sobriquet, “man’s best friend.”
Its well deserved here.
Dogs are sentient beings with far greater intelligence than we give them credit for.
