two other men approached and announced a robbery.
Did they bring a portable PA system?
Your attention please, this is a robbery, stick em up
Prayers for the family and friends of the deceased.
Unfortunately, this will prompt someone on the Left to opine that the “attack” by the CCW guy, “caused” the perp to shoot back and kill his friend.
IMHP, he failed to keep shooting until the threat was neutralized. I don’t know the details, but perhaps he should have had a larger caliber weapon, larger capacity magazine, or simply exercised better shot control.
Or maybe there was nothing else he could have done.
One big takeaway is that “shoot-to-wound” doesn’t work.
If the other friend had shot well enough, this would not have happened.
Obviously these two mistreated, under privileged youths were just trying to gather college tuition money as they turned their lives around.
The CCW should’ve kept shooting until reloading and continuing to fire unti lthe thugs were “aspiring”. /if you know why I did that, you know what I mean.
I’m reminded of the scene in the Clint Eastwood movie The Outlaw Josey Wales, when he had a chance meeting with four union soldiers, and shot and killed all four. Later, his Indian companion asked him a question.
Lone Watie: How did you know which one was goin’ to shoot first?
Josie Wales: Well, that one in the center: he had a flap holster and he was in no itchin’ hurry. And the one second from the left: he had scared eyes, he wasn’t gonna do nothin’. But that one on the far left: he had crazy eyes. Figured him to make the first move.
Lone Watie: How ‘bout the one on the right?
Josie Wales: Never paid him no mind; you were there.
Lone Watie: I could have missed.
