I was having a moment the other night concerning a young cat who had adopted me from about 8 yrs ago and I brought her inside & gave her something to eat but it wasn’t that she just wanted me for food.
She picked me for some odd reason. I love her to bits & she is my constant companion even more so as she has grown older and it is now 2015.
The moment I had was the realization that her life is finite no matter my “love” & how painful it is to recognize this.
These beautiful companions whether they be cats or dogs are created by God and given to us to delight in and to be happy and to be happy with them.
What a nice post you have here with the kitty going for pizza!

Our cat loves Pepperoni!

The cat, not you, nick.
I said "Barbequed."
Needless to say there was no second date.
I would have lent her my copy of "101 ways to wok a cat".
Basic Cat Law, you betcha.
We had a cat that loved pizza and I had to put a small slice on an extra plate so she could “steal” it w/o getting some of mine with the hot pepper flakes on it. She’d even finish up the crust once all the good stuff was gone.
Extra anchovies and I would do the same thing! NOM NOM NOM
Just like the standing rib roast my old roommate made to carve for roast beef sammiches for a bachelor party... it lasted through seconds, but when people went back later to carve a hunk off... it was gone... His one English Lab snuck into the kitchen, stood up and grabbed it from the back of the counter. Everyone was too drunk to notice.
A way to deal with friends who either invite themselves to your pizza, or help themselves to more than their fair share is to make a “Russian Roulette Pizza”.
You get 7 one-inch squares of either yellow or red bell pepper, and 1, one-inch square of correspondingly yellow or red Habanero pepper. Then when they make the pizza, one piece goes under the sauce, cheese and other ingredients, so that all can be seen on the cooked pizza are eight bumps.
I don’t think cats have any concept of time; they just BE.
(But they do seem to know that when the sun starts to come up, they should get rowdy and wake us all up ;-)
My husband says that we’re going to have to share the week-end sleep-in days; he’s tired of being the one who gets up at six AM, and keeps these new kitties from jumping on the stove.
