So I saw several years of complaints that Obama was born in Kenya. Lets assume he was. His mother is an American citizen; there isn't any dispute there. And, in the minds of those who believe he was born in Kenya, that means he's not eligible to be President.
Lets move to Ted Cruz. He was born in Canada. His father wasn't a US Citizen at the time of his birth. His mother was. So if Obama being born in Kenya supposedly matters, why does Cruz being born in Canada NOT matter?
Meanwhile the mother of Ted Cruz was an American citizen and older than 19 at the time of his birth...and his father was a legal immigrant with a green card..his parents were married..
(Obamas father was only here on a student visa and got deported and he had a wife back in Kenya...)
So you’re saying if he was born in Kenya, then he was NOT a NBC. Therefore, Ted Cruz is not a NBC either. Is that what you’re saying?

In 1961, a parent having a baby outside of the USA had to have been in the country for at least 5 years over the age of 15 (I might be a year off but the rule is like that) IN ORDER TO CONFER AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP onto her new baby. Barack Obama’s father was not American. His mother was, but she was only 18. She was not old enough to be able to give usa citizenship to her baby Barack.
His bc is an online fake. He was first seen as a newborn in Seattle, as far as we know. At Stanley Ann’s left wing high school, when girls got knocked up, they disappeared over the border into Canada to live out the pregnancy and have their babies at one of the two unwed mother’s homes in Vancouver. They usually gave the babies up for adoption. This was the plan for Stanley Ann, probably, as well. Why else would she show up ready for classes to start at the university there, with newborn Barack, not even knowing how to change his diaper?
Who would leave their helpful parents in Hawaii and fly with a new baby at 18 to live alone in Seattle? obama Sr. was never in the picture.
So the concern is, re Obama, perhaps if he were born in Canada he was never even a citizen of the United states. He’s never naturalized. Being married to Mooch makes him eligible, but if he were born over the border, he not only wasn’t born a citizen but he was not a citizen at all.
Ted Cruz was born an American. The second he was born he was American. That is a natural born citizen. His mother was old enough to confer her citizenship.
The current occupant of the oval office and his supporters managed to muddy those waters for the time being.
Perhaps,if/when Cruz or Jindal or even a Constitutionalist candidate attains the position of POTUS, this issue will be properly considered in the Supreme Court for final clarification to either correct or maintain course.
Cruz was an American citizen at birth, born to an American citizen parent who happened to be in Canada at the time.
If my American citizen mother happens to be traveling in Germany, and gives birth to me while she's there, I'm still a Natural Born American citizen.
I'm not aware of any case law that would contradict that assertion.
Cruz was not naturalized at some later date. That makes him a Natural Born citizen. Those are the only two types of American citizenship that I'm aware of. If you're not one, then you're the other.
Cruz is therefore eminently eligible, and I don't think there is a single court in the USA, conservative or liberal, that will dispute that assertion.
Trying to conflate Cruz's situation with the much more ambiguous 0bama case is simply not correct.
There's nothing "dangerous" in expressing your 'opinion', and those who express an 'opinion' that Cruz is not qualified to be President based on his citizenship status, can state their case to demonstrate that.
HOWEVER, I they will be stating a case based on 'opinion'. And solely that! And not on one based on 'fact'!
The FACTS, LAWS, and most 'legal opinion' already demonstrate that Ted Cruz became a citizen "At Birth" and not through "Naturalization" (which means you have to "apply" to become a U.S. Citizen.
His mother was too young based on what? What does a mother’s age have to do with citizenship of the child?
There are two types of citizens in the United States:
1. Natural born citizens; and
2. Naturalized citizens.
A natural born citizen is anyone who became a citizen automatically at birth under the citizenship laws then in effect. A naturalized citizen is anyone who was not a citizen at birth but later became a citizen under citizenship laws then in effect.
Cruz is a natural born citizen under U.S. law because his mother was a citizen. Obama was also a natural born citizen under U.S. law because his mother was a citizen. Obama later became an Indonesian citizen under Indonesian law when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo.

Obama was never born in Kenya. That was Obama wishing he was. He enjoyed his foreign African name and it took him a long way with the American black community.
Was he born in America? Was he born somewhere else?
Let’s ask Obama.

Let’s call this an “oops.” No record of birth certificate, no record of college transcripts, no record of passport. All of these things are true.
So, laws or no laws, Cruz came right out and posted it and because he is a “real” constitutional scholar, I would say that he is in fact a NBC.
Obama on the other hand, has hidden everything. The question is why?
Even if Obama were born in Kenya, I believe the amendments to the law are retroactive in their effect.
Goes to show you the lengths some people will go to prove their own stupidity.
We will be told, “Obama’s situation was completely different, that is irrelevant” as they dwell on this issue, I predict, until it no longer matters one way or the other. Since “natural born citizen” is not defined by the Constitution this is God’s gift to talkers, bloggers, and armchair lawyers.
Facts are a different thing, perceptions are all that matter in elections.
It has only begun.
I said nothing about facts, laws, or legal information one way or another. I said this needs to be discussed. It needed to be discussed about Obama prior to his coronation, but no one on the left thought it necessary. You want to beat the enemy at their game by being ahead of them. Regardless of what anyone says, Cruz’s citizenship WILL be brought up by the left.
Cruz is a natural born citizen by our laws, most importantly our first immigration law. The law was written by the first congress and contained many of the founders. I find it hard to believe that those who wrote the constitution made their first move to undermine it shortly after.
Many will. But most will be liberal democrats. Discussion is fine, but you will see many so-called "Conservatives" who aren't seeking discussion, they are seeking to prove Cruz ineligible. And their motives should be questioned.
Your assumption that obama was born from who we were told was his mother has no substance in truth. There is no birth certificate proving who his mother was and he had his grandmother cremated so there is no dna to prove that he was related to his mother.
Ted Cruz also didn’t apply for Student Aid under a different name and/or nationality....
I am sure Ted could have gotten a sweatheart deal on student aid had he been able to apply for Student Aid as a Foreign Student from Cuba or Canada....
But he didn’t he took out student loans and paid them off like a regular american, well besides any scholarships based on merti that he received as well.
Ted Cruz’s college records are not gonna be swept under any rug like the bamster’s.
