A military reservist who returned from service in Afghanistan last year was injured along with his family when a bullet from the war exploded.
A 25-year-old soldier in Lindenhurst, north of Chicago, was attempting to light a tracer round in his backyard with a blow torch when the ammunition exploded and alarmed residents on his street.

I knew a guy who was doing what he shouldn’t with a 50 cal round. Ended up losing his thumb and two fingers and got a medical discharge from the Corps.
How about the guy who took a drill to a WWII German “potato-masher” grenade?

I don’t drink. I used to but not for forty years or so. I know I tried to get drunk enough to do this sort of thing but I don’t think I ever quite got there.
I can’t quite imagine taking a torch to a .25acp round.
You would THINK that the idiot would have removed the bullet from the round, first. . . .
