1200 is the absolute minimum. One crumb above that and it goes immediately to fat.

The dish you just described to me would be half the calories I would eat all day.

Oh, you ARE a piece of work!... You'll infer lurid fantasies about the hygiene of fat people, but those who blanch at sodomy, a practice that virtually requires the ingestion of fecal material, are "self-righteous." Your kind of preening sanctimony is, sadly, the default setting for Lot's family.

And you make connections that aren't there - having been in close contact with obese people who could not properly wash themselves due to the obesity, I can attest from personal experience that they smell -it is the truth. But I'm wasting my time - you have no use for the truth because it doesn't allow you to always be right.

And you call me a piece of work.....

"Truth?" I think not. Your subjective experience may be "true," but it is hardly "truth." The nastiest smelling rascal I've ever had the misfortune of enduring was a pick-up basketball player who went straight from the court to a university sponsored lecture, but you don't see me making supercilious pronouncements about students or sand-lot athletes.

You, on the other hand, seem to have subtly twisted the divine mandate to "bear witness" into casting pearls before swine "without rancor."

You win - you are the alpha and the omega and the expert on all both religious/spiritual and physical/mortal.

I don't know what ever brought me to be the least bit critical or to think you might have the ability to be rational vs. rationalize.

You can have the last word - I won't respond again because the old adage makes sense:

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

And I continue to engage because you emitting a stream of cliches does not count as "thinking," and as another old adage says: stupid should hurt.

Wow! thanks for the report back

That makes it unanimous (so far) that everyone who has followed my advice has noticed an improvement.

I could barely walk my hip hurt so bad a few months back- I started an intake of jello, turmeric, coconut oil capsules, and WHOLE MILK!! and it went away (again)

I am also going gluten free- the inflammation has stopped everywhere - i cannot believe how hard it is to convince people to just TRY IT for a month and if it helps you, then great- if not, then you know have eliminated another possible cause...

In place of the SUGAR try using honey (for everything) - it is a natural antibiotic and clears your lungs too.

I'm slowly increasing my activity levels. To be fair, my activity level was “stuck in a wheelchair” just a few years ago due to a back injury. I've gradually worked up to the point where I can walk a mile and a half every day, and about twice a week I'll take the stairs up to my office. (I work on the 5th floor.)

I keep hoping that the slow metabolism and the nutrient deficiencies were feeding each other, and that correcting my nutrient balance will boost my metabolism up to normal. Hasn't happened yet, but that's ok. I'm just glad I haven't needed anything through an IV in over a year!

(Wasn't kidding when I said deficiencies have landed me in the ER.)

A human body burns about 2000 calories per day. With a decent amount of exercise (like walking 4 miles), maybe 2500 calories.

Minor correction: The average human might need to take in about 2000 calories, but an astonishing portion of that gets excreted without being absorbed. Research is still ongoing to find out exactly what percentage the average person absorbs, but there's a lot of variables to account for.

Just going by memory, I believe it was 26% of calories from protein get absorbed, on average. But I could be remembering wrong.

Thanks, I’ve wondered about that too. Some people make their living studying human “excretions”...perhaps they may want to get around to this some day.
