The perps should be brought to the scene of the crime and executed-let them beg a little-by a single bullet to the head. Arrange garbage truck pickup. The family that produced such sub-humans should be sterilized and any neighborhood that cares should have ARMED neighborhood watch people who patrol and are prepared to shoot. Anything less than that and this will spread till it’s everywhere.

That’s a shame; I remember the bombing of the MOVE headquarters back in the 1980s...

Our urban centers have decayed as well; the diversity (which really had been something to celebrate: the various restaurants, worship houses and such) really made them exciting, vibrant places. As Section 8 residents moved in, people shied away and they simply fell into ruin. I remember a few years ago when Trenton NJ closed its last Catholic grammar school - incredible.

Is that not where much of American history took place? Where the Liberty Bell is etc.. It's been subverted, trashed and tarnished like much of America. It's all very unfortunate.

Yes, it is. The famed Independence Hall is right in the center of town, and it is where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were formed and adopted. Many Revolutionary War soldiers were once buried in the large Washington Square park adjacently behind it. Benjamin Franklin lived a couple of blocks away and is buried nearby. The Liberty Bell used to be inside it, but as throngs of tourists began to wear out the original pine floors, it was moved to an outdoor pavilion in the 1980s or 90s. It's worth noting that the murder which is the subject of this thread took place in a residential area about 3 miles west as the crow flies from the Independence Hall and colonial section. But Philly also has the reputation, among its permanent residents, of being "the biggest small town in the world" — people are tight-knit. The first week I arrived there for college, my advisor told me, "Don't mess around in Philly. Everyone knows everyone here."

By the time things were escalating in Ferguson, Missouri last year, it was already getting into autumn and then wintertime.

A hot upcoming summer, continued racial tensions spearheaded by President Obama, and coupled with a bad electrical outage could be nightmarish for many innocents. The example you have illustrated would be troubling and very problematic. Good post.
