It's not just their physical height - it's the inner strength and gravitas they seemed to have - they were much "weightier" back then.

Sure, there are some good actors nowadays, but they are like boys compared to Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, et al.

Likewise for the actresses. Watch some old classics on TMC and the difference will jump out at you. Like comparing adults vs teenagers for both sexes.

I’m tall. 5’9” and I wear 2-3 inch heels when we go somewhere. Today’s stars all seem shrimpy to me. Probably why none of them are attractive to me.
I don’t care for little men. Lol

Recently saw some episodes of Friends where Tom Selleck guest starred.

He absolutely knocked the male Friends right off the screen. It was almost embarrassing.
