Hoop skirts were designed to allow women to eliminate without having to undress and then move on without contaminating the skirt with the product. The underwear was open in the crotch for the same reason. Yea, the race of professional victims hasn't no idea or education for the reasoning of the fashion. Any Goody’s or Petersons’ Magazine of the 1800’s will attest to this.
