Perhaps there is another, more basic reason.
Survival.
Not many people want to work in an area where they may not live to see the next dawn.
I believe pizza delivery men and taxi cab drivers were sued by the NAACP for not going into black neighborhoods.
If the law can be used against pizza delivery companies it can damn sure be used against Starbucks. Starbucks - liberal elites wagging their fingers at the rest of us... can learn to live with their own rules.

Why not give jobs to blacks then in their areas?
If Starbucks really cared about blacks then why not open in their areas and give them jobs?
Blacks have been used by the left for decades now while their so called leaders are paid off by the Dem party and still most blacks have not figured out yet they are nothing but pawns in a Political chess game.
Starbux has plenty of black employees, all the way down the West Side of NYC, to 51st at least, which is about as far as I’ve been to them.
