Fail, indeed. And not just due to the rightful ridicule that Starbucks has already received for its absurd Race Together campaign. You see, it got worse when this happened:
y'all realize there are no coloured hands in the press photos right @Starbucks #RaceTogether

StarBUCKS. Obviously a dog whistle to a derogatory racist term.
they’re making up for all the missing white male little kids in all the school clothes commercials.
Yup. This social justice crap that companies peddle these days makes me sick.
They have to save their money for all those Nike sneakers.
Who pays $300 for a pair of tennis shoes ?
Right on! Drop some knowledge on us, sister!
Shut up and pour!
LOL - excellent point
Did someone already photoshop that? That was fast!

Yes I couldnt resist being there first!
Thank you!
It is like the white kid is not enough to be saved in the movie.
In “Knowing”, the white guy gets to save his son, who is deaf. In “Take Shelter”, he tries to save his white daughter, also deaf. They had to make the white kid disabled to maintain sympathy.
You got me there!
Besides being material for endless jokes, this is just a dumb idea. So, the Barista and a customer are in a long-winded conversation about race and everything comes to a standstill. Service slows to a snail’s pace and the customers seek their overpriced coffee elsewhere.
Contentious conversations on any subject and the smooth operation of a business just don’t got together.
Maybe the hands are brown or white depending on what people see in the photo - like the blue dress vs. the white dress.
I have a problem carrying on a serious conversation with someone who has enough steel on their facep to start a new car company.
Everything is a symbol in this country. Nothing is just what it is and no more.
But...it’s so urban, cool, & hip to pay six bucks for a cup of burned s***.
As an OFWG who voted for Reagan, I’ve never been in a Starbucks. The “barista” - is that a waitress you can banter with & not hold up service for others, or is it the cashier lecturing you about race while the line behind you grows longer & angrier?
