A kindergarten teacher from Miami has been charged with aggravated child abuse after police say he dug his nails into a girl's hand and leg just to see her cry.
Frederick Mena, 25, was arrested earlier this month in connection to the sickening incident that allegedly took place March 5 at Silver Bluff Elementary School in Coconut Grove.
According to an arrest report, Mena was teaching math to a kindergarten class when the victim, a young girl, became stymied by the material.
In his frustration, according to the Miami Dade School Police, Mena dug his fingernails deeply into the child's hand and calf, breaking the skin and leaving marks.
The reports states that Mena later admitted to the incident in a letter penned to the principal of the school.

You know this wasn’t the first time he did this crap.
This should not be news.
In fact it should not have been reported.
It should have been dealt with by the girl’s father and/or uncles in a discrete location.
I'll remember this the next time I hear about why kids should not be allowed to be home schooled because of all the rigorous testing and screening that teachers go through. Couple this with the fact that if a kid does anything remotely wrong, he is suspended and the police are called in. The lunatics are in charge of the asylum.

I agree, but sadly in today’s climate the father would go to jail for beating the teacher’s arse. I follow the mantra better judged by 12 than carried by 6, I would have taken my chances and taught the teacher what real pain is.

This just proves any idiot can become a teacher. So you moms and dads out there who say you can’t homeschool because you’re not smart enough. Get your kids out of school now.

each day I give thanks to the Good Lord that my children have completed school. Because if that was my child, trouble with the law would be the least of his worries.
Really? Kindergarten's changed, I guess. When I was in kindergarten, the curriculum pretty much consisted of weaning clingy kids from separation anxiety, singing, finger painting and pretending to take naps.
Amen! This is not his first rodeo for sure. Back when I was in school, we had a thing called parents that dealt with teachers like this.
