This should not be news.
In fact it should not have been reported.
It should have been dealt with by the girl’s father and/or uncles in a discrete location.

I agree, but sadly in today’s climate the father would go to jail for beating the teacher’s arse. I follow the mantra better judged by 12 than carried by 6, I would have taken my chances and taught the teacher what real pain is.

Damn straight.

A discrete location where Mr. Mena would have conveniently disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again.

I would laugh every time I saw his demonic face on a milk carton somewhere.

Way back when, when I was in school, incidents like this were never reported. Instead, a parent , or parents, would have a private meeting with said teacher. The problem would be solved. You would be surprised how effective this method was.
