nascarnation :" Smile!"
It sounds like something out of "Judge Dred ", involving "PRE-CRIME"
but with no warrrant , or probable cause, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL under law
but these aren't times with "law of the land" as we know it, especially in the land of 'over-reach'
and 'selective prosecution' of 'selective laws' by the Dept. of "JUST-US"

Post offices spy on everyone... They do this for a reason. Many people attempt to remain somewhat anonymous by using PO boxes, postal drop boxes etc, in attempts to keep themselves private, hide their resident addresses etc, for whatever reasons. The government post offices knows this and one of the reasons why most POs have tons of data collecting video surveillance.
You do realize that when you register for a PO box, you have to show government issued photo id and it is is written down in their files under that box. How would photos of faces and licenses connect the people to the boxes? They could just be buying stamps, etc.

Do realize many are attempting to keep their home addresses protected not just from gov but from others?
And you do realize millions use drop boxes and PO's as addresses on their driver's licenses etc. For years now, millions have been using postal services which offer regular street addresses etc.

If someone is on the run or wanted for instance, they'll know exactly the location this individual is visiting. Subsequently connecting the box to the individual would be easy.

That’s not what the PI do. The clerk should have asked for ID. That’s what insurance is for. It is likely no one in the postal system got your stuff.

It is likely no one in the postal system got your stuff. BTW, postal theft by postal employees is rampant and occurs all the time.

One of those specially equipped cop cars came onto our condo complex once and started scanning plates.I always back my car into my space so given that I have no front plate he didn't get anything on me.I stopped him for a minute and asked him if he was conducting an illegal search (given that our parking area is private property not visible from a public way) and he just gave me a dirty look and continued.
Unlike some in this country I find that I trust the government *less and less* as time passes.

It wasn’t that long ago when the groupies from both camps and questionable others, used to call people who made comments like that, “Conspiracy wackos”.

What sort of things do they investigate? Mail fraud, shipping drugs through the mail, identity theft from info stolen from mail, or all crimes, even non-post office crimes?
Thanks,
Ed
