I’ve been here longer than you have; n00b, and know exactly how FR works !
Public school....I take it.
You can also add Hawaii to that.
:)
Look up Tucson and their push to go with it.
Personally I would opt for a DST year round. Go to work in the dark and get 30 minutes of daylight during the winter months. Enjoy a late hour sun in the summer.
JMHO
It sounds like you “self-identified” yourself as being in that WHACKO MINORITY ... I sure didn’t.
But, if you are in that group, well ... don’t expect to get anywhere with .your idea in your state.
But they have to still abide by the time changes made by radios stations, T.V. channels, plane schedules, etc. !
Obviously.
Hows that smart-ass remark working out for you?
Life is hard.
You don’t have a complaint with the government, then ... you’ve got a complaint with individual businesses. You better take it up with them.
Julius Caesar - he paid the ultimate price almost exactly 2,059 years ago.
Oh good grief............
Everyone is allowed top have their own opinions; however, you can’t change the sun’s schedule, only your own.
If you know how Free Republic works, then you know I can be talking just as much as you can ... :-) ...
Whut?
I never said that I would try to change/get rid of DST.
OTOH, you’re the one making assumptions and claiming that more people like it, when that is the antithesis of studies done.
Calling me a “whacko” only makes YOU into one.
I went to private school, so that worked out really well for me.
My remark was an educated assumption about you and obviously true.
Life is what one makes of it, within certain bounds.
It must be extremely difficult and “hard” for you.
Oh for crying out loud; that’s the silliest post you’ve made yet.
You’ll notice that I didn’t call you a WHACKO MINORITY, but you seem to have identified yourself as being in that group.
As far as you not wanting to opt out of DST in your state ... well ... you’ve got two choices, you go with the way it is right now ... or ... you opt out in your state.
If you’re complaining about DST, then you only have the opt-out option. That’s it.
If you can’t figure that out, that it’s the “BUSINESSES” you have a problem with, in the event you opt out in your state ... then you’ve got bigger problems than with DST ... :-) ...
Actually I adjust just fine. Just finished 80 hours this week in a different timezone than I started and seem quite refreshed.
God forbid my “clock” gets disrupted and sends my world into a state of disarray.
Get your private school blankey and wish your worries away,
the rest of us will keep your sheltered world.
