God answers prayer !

The generosity of FReepers is awesome !

Only prayer could bring Bryson from the brink of death ... at least that's how WE see it, and as you can see ...

Bryson is off all the meds and today was the first day in almost a week that he was able to be touched by another human.

His pulmonary hypertension was gone after the first day of my posting the news of his condition, and with some scary moments, he continued to fight and improve

This is also the first day in almost a week he could eat and not be sedated

And probably MOST important ... the first day in almost a week Mama and son could BE with each other

He still has a lot to go through

His open heart surgery is still scheduled for March 16, but they are going to allow Bryson to go home for a few days to decompress

He is SO attached to his mommy and daddy they had to sedate him to keep him from being excited while they were working on him. The sound of their voices was enough for him to thrash around and look around for his parents and the doctors couldn't get IV's in and stuff like that.

I said in an earlier thread that FReepers are more responsive than our local people, and it is the truth

Your prayers are still needed for his open heart and he still has a colostomy that won't be repaired until around June (after the OH has healed), but .... well ... I can't thank you all enough

Thank all who help

My son and DIL have basic insurance through his work, and of course there is deductible and stuff like that no one is really thinking about right now

Our focus is, and rightly so, on Bryson

but the money needed while at the hospital to eat and the gas to go back and forth, etc., has been (until YOU guys came along !!!) a difficult necessity

His eyes were the most captivating (IMO) feature today

After being put through a wringer, you could see that ... "Dorothy after waking up and recognizing all the characters in The Wizard Of Oz" .. look of love and relief and .. maybe even disbelief .... are you guys REALLY here or am I still drugged?
